What this calculator does
- Computes estimated annual and monthly net income from your gross salary.
- Shows income tax, employee social contributions, and the effective rate separately.
- Walks the calculation band by band with each bracket tied to its source fact.
- Generates a shareable, privacy-safe result link via the URL hash — no server storage.
- Reports the marginal rate with a plain-language explanation of what it means.
What it deliberately does not do
- No state, provincial, or local income tax (separate calculators per region).
- No self-employment, contractor, or employer-side tax modeling.
- No capital gains, dividend, rental, or investment income.
- No married filing jointly / dependents / household-specific scenarios in the v1 single-filer model.
- No tax-advice language. Results are estimates for educational purposes only.
See the full assumptions page for the exact modeled scenario and exclusions.
