About TaxMetria
TaxMetria exists because the existing global tax-calculator landscape tends to either copy paste data, hide assumptions, or pretend precision it doesn't have. We took a different approach: every number comes from a primary source, every result carries an audit trail, and every error has a public correction entry.
Mission
Make take-home pay understandable across borders, without misrepresenting either the math or the limits of the math.
What we believe
- Honest disclosure beats clever framing. If our model excludes something important, we say so next to the result.
- Sources should be primary, traceable, and versioned.
- Corrections are a feature, not a failure.
- Taxes alone don't determine life outcomes. We don't sell relocation.
Ownership and independence
TaxMetria is independently owned. It does not receive payment from any tax authority, payroll provider, government, or political party. It does not currently run advertising.
When affiliate or sponsorship relationships are added, they will be disclosed in the editorial policy and on the relevant page.
Editorial team
TaxMetria is built and maintained by a small editorial team with primary responsibility for research, modeling, review, and corrections. Each data record names the reviewer; the methodology page explains how the calculation engine works.
Numbers on the site are sourced from official tax authorities (the IRS, HMRC, and equivalents) and verified by the editorial team against those primary documents. We do not currently engage a third-party qualified tax professional for additional sign-off; if you spot a discrepancy with an authoritative source, please use the corrections form.
Roadmap and scope
